PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP2F Stratix EtherNet/IP Tap is an industrial communication interface component. It provides one copper Ethernet port and two fiber optic ports. All network ports operate at 10/100 Mbps communication speed. The copper port supports auto-negotiation in full or half duplex modes. The dual fiber optic ports allow long-distance communication with high noise immunity. The device functions independently and does not connect to a backplane.
This open-style module requires an external nominal 24V DC power source. The acceptable supply input range is 20.4 to 27.6V DC. Maximum power consumption is 6.24 Watts with 260 milliamps current draw at 24V DC. It supports mounting on a DIN rail or direct panel attachment. Integrators can deploy the tap in horizontal or vertical orientations. Enclosure installation requires specific clearance distances for proper airflow and cable routing.
