Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1794-IP4 is a FLEX I/O 4 Channel Pulse Counter Module. It performs calculation and high-speed scaling for distributed industrial control architectures. The unit provides four input channels organized into two electrically isolated groups. Each channel supports a maximum counting frequency of 100 kHz. The module detects input pulses with a minimum pulse width of 2 µs. Input signals require a clean transition between 3V DC and 6V DC for operation.
This module mounts directly onto a compatible terminal base unit on a standard DIN rail. It draws 5 mA of Flexbus current at 5V DC. Nominal external power requirements are 150 mA at 12V DC and 75 mA at 24V DC. Active operation produces maximum power dissipation of 5W and thermal dissipation of 17.1 BTU per hour.
