Product Overview
The General Electric IC695CMM002 is a serial communications module for the PACSystems RX3i series. This unit provides two independent and isolated serial ports for host control communication. Each serial port supports RS-232 and RS-422/485 physical interface standards. The ports use standard RJ-45 modular connectors for external serial connections. An RX3i control system supports up to six IC695CMM002 modules per backplane.
The module supports Modbus Master, Modbus Slave, DNP3 Master, DNP3 Slave, CCM Slave, and Serial I/O protocols. When configuring DNP3 on one port, the second port must also use DNP3 communication. Selectable transmission baud rates range from 1200 baud up to 115.2 kb. The unit features upgradable flash memory and reports watchdog, RAM, and flash faults. Diagnostic LED indicators display module health, port fault conditions, and active communication status.
