PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSCE2 is an SLC 500 high-speed input module designed for counting and positioning applications. This single-slot module provides dedicated signal processing for high-speed pulse and quadrature signals. It accommodates differential inputs labeled as ±A1, ±B1, ±Z1, ±A2, ±B2, and ±Z2. The input channels accept frequencies up to 1 MHz with a minimum pulse width of 475 nanoseconds. Input voltage operating ranges support 4.2 to 12 VDC and 10 to 30 VDC.
The module features eight total outputs, including four physical sourcing outputs and four virtual outputs. Physical outputs handle operating voltages from 10 to 30 VDC with 1.0 Ampere per channel maximum. Backplane current consumption draws 250 milliamps at 5 VDC and 0 milliamps at 24 VDC. The unit installs in any standard SLC 500 chassis slot or 1747-ASB remote I/O chassis. Terminal connections use the 1746-RT25G wiring connector.
