PRODUCT INFORMATION

Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 1746-NO8V is an SLC 500 analog output module. This module provides eight single-ended analog voltage channels for modulating field devices. It controls devices such as valves, dampers, louvers, and variable frequency drives. Each channel features 16-bit resolution corresponding to 320 microvolts per count. An internal R-2R ladder network executes digital-to-analog conversion.

The module supports selectable output voltage spans up to plus or minus 10.25V DC. Backplane current consumption draws 120 milliamps at 5V DC. It draws 160 milliamps at 24V DC when jumper J4 is set to rack power. Setting jumper J4 to external allows connection to a user-supplied 24V DC power source. Optical circuit isolation tested at 500V DC protects the chassis from field electrical noise.
