PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1747-SCNR ControlNet Scanner Module connects ControlNet network devices to SLC 500 processors. Compatible processors include SLC 5/02, SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, and SLC 5/05 controllers. Communication occurs through M1 and M0 file transfers alongside discrete I/O. The M1/M0 file transfer method transfers large blocks of data with the processor.
This scanner module features two ControlNet ports designated as Channel A and Channel B. The ports support both non-redundant and redundant media network topologies. Physical tap connections use 1786-TPR, 1786-TPS, 1786-TPYR, or 1786-TPYS taps. Trunklines use 1786-RG6 quad-shield coaxial cable connected by BNC connectors. The unit installs into any SLC 500 chassis slot except the leftmost slot. Two top rotary switches configure the network node address from 01 to 99.
