Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1769SC-IF8U is an 8-channel universal analog input module for CompactLogix systems. Spectrum Controls manufactures this module under the Allen-Bradley Encompass partner program. It mounts directly onto a standard DIN rail within a single chassis slot. The unit is compatible with 1769 CompactLogix architectures and MicroLogix 1500 controllers. It accepts voltage, current, thermocouple, resistance, and RTD signals across individual channels.
This universal module provides 16-bit analog-to-digital conversion resolution for connected field instruments. It handles up to eight voltage, current, or thermocouple inputs simultaneously. When configured for RTD or resistance inputs, the module supports four active channels. Selectable filter frequencies include 10 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 250 Hz, and 1000 Hz. Continuous overvoltage protection is rated at plus or minus 30 volts DC. Continuous overcurrent protection reaches 28 milliamperes.
