PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The ABB AO820 3BSE008546R1 is an S800 I/O bipolar Analog Output Module. It provides four individually isolated analog output channels for process control loops. Each channel allows independent software configuration for current or voltage output modes. Supported voltage ranges include -10 to +10 V, 0 to 10 V, and 2 to 10 V. Available current ranges include -20 to +20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA.
The module performs output data readback to supervise communication to the internal converters. Continuous diagnostics monitor current loops for open-circuit faults above 1 mA. Process voltage supervision triggers a channel error signal if the field excitation voltage disappears. All supervisory error signals transmit across the ModuleBus backplane to the controller. Separate terminal sets are provided for voltage and current field wiring.
