PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1747-KE is an interface module for the SLC 500 platform. It establishes communication between DH-485 networks and DF1 protocol devices. The unit occupies a single slot in an SLC 500 chassis. It draws 150 mA at 5 VDC and 40 mA at 24 VDC from the backplane. The module supports point-to-point and network communication architectures.
Onboard connectors include one 9-pin Sub-D DF1 port, one 9-pin Sub-D configuration port, and one DH-485 port. Galvanic isolation provides 500 VDC of protection between the backplane and serial ports. It also isolates the serial ports from each other. Configurable serial protocols cover RS-232, RS-422, RS-423, and RS-485 standards. Front-panel status indicators show communication and fault conditions.
