PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley MVI56E-MNETC is a Modbus TCP/IP Multi Client/Server Enhanced Network Interface Module designed for ControlLogix platforms. It installs directly into a single slot of any standard local or remote ControlLogix chassis. The module draws 800 mA at 5 VDC and 3 mA at 24 VDC from the backplane. It provides network connectivity between ControlLogix processors and external Modbus TCP/IP devices. A single RJ45 Ethernet communication port supports 10/100 Mbps transmission rates with auto-crossover cable detection.
This interface module supports up to 30 Modbus TCP clients and up to 20 Modbus TCP servers simultaneously. It provides 10,000 words of 16-bit integer user-definable memory registers for custom data mapping. Configuration integrates via Add-On Instructions for firmware version 16 or higher, or sample ladder logic for earlier versions. An industrial-grade CompactFlash card acts as a personality module for disaster recovery. Status diagnostics include internal error codes and counters accessible through controller tags.
