PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1771-IAD is a Digital AC/DC Input Module for the PLC-5 series platform. It provides sixteen discrete input channels designed for 120V AC and 125V DC operational categories. Operating voltage ranges from 79 to 138 Volts AC or DC across industrial field devices. The hardware interfaces discrete pushbuttons, limit switches, selector switches, and auxiliary relay contacts directly to control logic.
The module mounts into 1771 universal I/O chassis including 1771-A1B through 1771-A4B, 1771-AM1, and 1771-AM2. Field terminations wire directly to a detachable 1771-WH field wiring arm. This configuration allows module replacement without disconnecting individual field signal conductors. Backplane current draw equals 195 milliamperes at 5 Volts DC. Maximum power dissipation reaches 8.8 Watts with optoelectrical circuit isolation and hardware input filtering.
