PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1797-IBN16 is a FLEX I/O digital input module designed for intrinsically safe applications. It features sixteen non-isolated sinking input channels compatible with NAMUR field sensors. The unit operates in Class I, II, and III, Division 1 hazardous environments. It is also certified for installation in Zone 1 and Zone 22 atmospheres.
Field connection requires an intrinsically safe 1797-TB3 or 1797-TB3S terminal base unit. Standard FLEX I/O terminal bases are not compatible with this module. Diagnostic indicators include sixteen yellow channel status LEDs and sixteen red fault LEDs. A single green LED displays module power status. The hardware operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius.
