PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
Revision scope: These specifications describe 1769-IF8/A (Series A). Check the corresponding technical data before specifying another hardware series.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-IF8 is an eight-channel CompactLogix analog input module. It converts analog process signals into digital values for CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 controllers. Each high-impedance channel accepts either single-ended or differential wiring configurations. Supported voltage inputs include ±10 VDC, 0 to 10 VDC, 0 to 5 VDC, and 1 to 5 VDC. Current input ranges support 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA signals.
The module features delta-sigma analog-to-digital conversion with up to 16 bits of unipolar resolution. Bipolar resolution provides 15 bits plus sign. Power draw from the 1769 compact I/O backplane reaches 120 mA at 5 VDC. Series A modules draw up to 70 mA from the 24 VDC bus. The maximum power supply distance rating is eight module slots from the system power supply. Total heat dissipation is 3.24 W when all eight channels are energized.
