PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 is a Remote Termination Panel engineered for the PLC-5 control platform. It provides external field wiring connections for N-series high-resolution analog I/O modules. The panel supports up to eight analog channels. It accommodates standard current inputs, voltage inputs with resistors, RTD sensors, and voltage outputs. It does not provide cold-junction compensation for thermocouple sensors.
This remote panel mounts directly on standard DIN 1 asymmetrical and DIN 3 symmetrical rails. Field connections interface with control modules via prefabricated cabling assemblies. The termination design allows module removal or replacement without opening or disturbing the active signal loop. This architecture eliminates point-to-point field wiring between intermediate terminal strips and I/O wiring arms.

PRODUCT FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the primary function of the Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4?
The 1771-RTP4 provides remote DIN-rail field wiring termination for PLC-5 N-series analog I/O modules.
Can the 1771-RTP4 be used with thermocouple inputs?
No. The 1771-RTP4 does not feature cold-junction compensation and cannot support thermocouple inputs.
Does module replacement disrupt the connected current loops?
No. Field wiring terminates at the panel, allowing module servicing without breaking the current loop.
What is the reference market price for the 1771-RTP4?
Observed market reference pricing is approximately $90.00 USD. This figure is an indicative market reference only and is not a final quotation.
