PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1785-ENET is a PLC-5 communication module. It provides Ethernet connectivity to a host PLC-5 controller. The interface connects directly to Channel 3 of the processor. It directly attaches to the 1785 backplane via a 1771 chassis. The module supports transmission speeds of 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation.
This communication module features one 8-pin RJ45 port supporting Ethernet TCP/IP protocol. Backplane power consumption is rated at 1.0 A at 5 Volts DC. Total power dissipation is 5 Watts, and no external power is required. Built-in diagnostic indicators display link activity for STAT, 10M, and 100M. A single PLC-5 system architecture supports up to four 1785-ENET modules.
