Product Overview
The General Electric SR489-CASE is a companion case designed for the Multilin 489 generator management relay. This enclosure features a full drawout mechanism with automatic CT shorting capability. A dust-tight door protects internal electrical components from contamination. The case design also includes an integrated seal provision for tamper protection. The IP rating for this unit is classified as IP10A.
The assembly supports mounting into a standard 19-inch rack or directly onto an enclosure panel. During installation, operators bend retaining tabs horizontally to hold the bezel snugly against the panel front. Sufficient clearance must be provided so the front door swings open without interference. After mechanical mounting is complete, the case is prepared for panel termination and wiring.
