PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1746-BTM is a Barrel Temperature Control Module for the SLC 500 system. This intelligent I/O module accommodates four zones of autotuned heat and cool PID loops. Each of the four isolated analog inputs functions as the controlled variable for a loop. The module accepts Type J and Type K thermocouple inputs directly.
A tuning-assisted process algorithm and a PID algorithm run directly on the module. Manipulated variable outputs transmit to the SLC processor table as numeric values or time-proportioned signals. Ladder logic directs these signals to digital or analog output modules to close the loop. The unit provides self-calibration, self-diagnostics, and detection of input open circuits.
