PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1746-BAS-T is a high-speed SLC BASIC Module for the SLC 500 platform. This specialty module occupies a single slot in any 1746 modular or fixed chassis. It delivers enhanced processing speed compared to the standard 1746-BAS module. The unit provides data collection and integration functions for an SLC 500 controller system. It links controllers to human machine interface devices, modems, and serial printers.
The module features 24 KB of battery-backed RAM for storing user programs and data. Capacitive backup protects stored user memory during battery replacement procedures. A dedicated socket accepts optional 1771-DBMEM1 or 1771-DBMEM2 memory modules for nonvolatile program storage. The module also integrates a real-time clock and calendar with an internal battery supply. Its free-running internal clock operates with a 5 ms resolution for system timing.
